About Laboratory of Simulation

The Laboratory of Simulation and Control of Discrete Events at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the School of Engineering of São Carlos at USP was founded ten years ago under the coordination of Prof. Arthur Porto. It has focused on the research, development and application of tools which can support the planning, simulation and control of discrete and hybrid systems. The laboratory is a part of NUMA, which is a leading-edge research center supported by PRONEX, a program held by the Ministry of Science and Tecnnology of Brazil, and makes part of research networks which develop macroprojects, as the IFM (supported by CNPq), Manet and Kyatera - TIDIA (supported by FAPESP).
